Post SWALLOW THE SUN: Studio Diary Launched - July 10, 2009
Finnish doom metallers SWALLOW THE SUN have entered Fascination Street studios in Örebro, Sweden to begin recording their fifth album, entitled "New Moon". The CD will is being produced and mixed by Jens Bogren, who has previously worked with such acts as KATATONIA, OPETH, PARADISE LOST and AMON AMARTH. Kai Hahto (WINTERSUN, ex-ROTTEN SOUND) has been recruited to play drums on the album following the recent departure of longtime skinsman Pasi Pasanen.

A November 2009 release is expected.

If you have not listened to Swallow the Sun I strongly suggest you do. Perfect for headbanging and they sound like a dark metal Jam band. Instrumentals sound amazing IMO. Vocals sound cool too.

indeed, they are a very gloom? metal band. can't wait to hear this new album.
